Voting
What is a “voting fraud” and what Is a “voting discrepancy?” This graf from the top of a RawStory article
Ohio’s Secretary of State told reporters Thursday that she can’t check the state’s newly registered voter database for fraud because it was “poorly constructed,” even though a cursory review of newly registered voters revealed 200,000 discrepancies.
I early voted on 30 Sep at the county courthouse. After I filled out the paper work, while I was waiting, I was called into an adjoining room and asked my birthdate. The last number of my birthdate is a one. They had a four. Either a typo or a sloppy write. It was changed to the correct date and I early voted.
Sounds like a simple discrepancy to me.
I have been involved with computer programming and date bases since 1985. A 5 % data entry error is about the norm. That is one key-stroke in error out of every 20 key-strokes. It is not economically feasible to think we can even cut that error rate in half. So let us be happy that of all the new registrations in Ohio, we only have 200,000 discrepancies. Innocent typos by an over-worked, underpaid clerical staff, don’t ya know.
