Marcy Wheeler Eviscerates Cliff May on Waterboarding
Clifford May writes at The Corner that it’s not true those terrorists were waterboarded 183 times:
According to two sources, both of them very well-informed and reliable (but preferring to remain anonymous), the 180-plus times refers not to sessions of waterboarding, but to “pours” — that is, to instances of water being poured on the subject.
Here is where I must stop. Because anyone who bases a serious argument on “two sources, both of them very well-informed and reliable (but preferring to remain anonymous)” with no other links or cites at all, cannot be taken seriously.
Marcy Wheeler — who broke the story of the grossly excessive waterboarding — takes her Exact-o knife to May’s claims and chops them into mincemeat.
