Chain of Command
General McChrystal broke the most important and first lesson of leadership that he probably learned in his first week as a plebe at West Point. And that is a good leader does not bad-mouth the boss in front of his subordinates. Period. No more needs to be said. According to the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) the type of insubordination that McChrystal participated in is a court-martial offense.
