Outrageous
It is more than “Outrageous.” It lacks common sense and it may be politically damaging. By connecting the dots, we go from POTUS (21 Jan 11) “announced Friday that General Electric (GE) Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt will chair the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness” to the recent revelation that GE paid no, none, nada, zero income tax in the United States on a reported $5.1 billion in profit.
Now we have Greg Sargent saying that an email from Russ Feingold’s group, Progressives United, arguing “that if Immelt doesn’t step down, Obama should fire him.”
We need a lot more than Immelt to resign. We need POTUS to use the bully pulpit of the Presidency to advocate for the working people of the country and ridicule, shame and embarrass all the right-wing Tea Partiers and their RepubliKKKan enablers.
