Be Careful, Ladies

I caught this on WDTN, Dayton, Ohio last evening.  Some of you may be familiar with this ploy.  But if I was not familiar with it, and I wasn’t, then there may be some readers who have not heard of it.

They say the 19-year old woman reported the sexual assault shortly after 1:30 Monday afternoon.

She told them she got a phone call from a stranger, asking if her brother was home. She answered no then heard a knock on her door.

Investigators say two men forced their way into her home when she answered the door. They pistol whipped her, locked the door behind them then forced the victim into a back bedroom where they sexually assaulted her.

In hindsight, instead of, “No” her answer should have been, “He’s busy.  Can I have him call you back?”

Be aware.  Be careful.
