Reaction to Overreaching
In high school physics, I think it was, I learned that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Well, it seems that the November 2010 election brought a lot of wingnuts into positions of authority. In a lot of states the new Republican governors took the drafts that ALEC put together and had their friendly legislature ram them through.
Union busting in Wisconsin and Ohio. Wisconsin has had two successful recalls of Republican state senators with perhaps the governor next. Ohio had the referendum on SB5 defeated by 18 points at the polls last November
Drug testing in Florida (overturned by a federal district court).
Now comes Susan B. Komen for the Cure. It is too early to tell what the eventual fall out will be of cutting off the funding for Planned Parenthood. But early indications are it will backfire on Komen.
But the jury is definitely still out.
