I Do Not Care What

Bill Maher  says.

As opposed to the rabid-right- TeaPartier-old-white -men that march lock step to every word Limbaugh or O’Reilly says, the Ol’ Chief has a brain and can think for himself.

The word that Bill Maher called Sarah Palin was out-of-bounds, totally unacceptable.

The words that Limbaugh used to describe Sandra Fluke was equally out-of-bounds.

I do not and will not use those words – here or anyplace else.

I have five granddaughters over the age of twenty.  If and whatever they may or may not use is their business, but I want the full spectrum of contraceptives available to them, without anybody questioning why.

As far as Limbaugh is concerned, misogyny is still in full bloom. On his show yesterday, 6 March, RawStory is saying

Following “sincerely” apologizing for calling a Georgetown University student a “—-,” conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday complained about “overeducated” single white women.

“What is it with all these young, single, white women? Overeducated doesn’t mean intelligent,” he ranted, going on to talk about journalist Tracie McMillian’s book.

Only a day earlier on the same radio show, Limbaugh had insisted that his apology for smearing Sandra Fluke was “heartfelt,” and blamed his week-long attack on her on liberals.

First, the ability to be bombastic and make a lot of money does not make Limbaugh “intelligent.”  And this most recent statement, coming a day after a lukewarm (at best) apology, takes away any sincerity Limbaugh might have been trying to foist on the public.
