It Doesn’t Matter
if Romney is still part of Bain Capital. His name is and will be forever associated in everybody’s minds with Bain. And with this going on, it will hurt Romney.
The Massachusetts-based Sensata Technologies has announced it plans to close the Freeport plant in December and outsource 170 jobs to China. Sensata workers are training their Chinese replacements, who have been flown to Illinois by the company.
Sensata was created by Bain Capital in 2006 and develops, manufactures and sells sensors and controls for major auto manufacturers such as Ford and General Motors.
Sensata is still owned by Bain Capital according to Progress Illinois
Through protests, rallies and letters to the president of the company, legislators and community leaders have joined Gaulrapp in the fight to save his and 169 other jobs at the plant owned by Bain Capital, a company founded by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee in 2012’s presidential election.
Moving jobs overseas should be the final nail in the coffin of Romney aspirations.
