Another . . .

October 1, 2013

I’ve made several posts recently about my buddy, Molly.  My 9-1/2 year old friend moved in when she was about 8 months old.

She knows the rules.

Her way of signaling that she has to relieve herself is to ‘bug’ me, or bug me and Mrs Chief.  I take her outside, she does whatever it is she has to do and we come back inside.

I do NOT praise her for doing it outside and not in the house.  Let me say that again – when Molly goes out and pees or has a bowl movement, she is doing what she is supposed to do, what she KNOWS she should be doing.

The House of Representatives know what needs to be done, but they are so stubborn and bull-headed they shit all over themselves.

Molly is smarter than the Republicans in the House (and Sen Cruz).

This Is Just My Opinion

If the United States had a white Democrat as President, we would not be having the budget and ‘debt-ceiling’ problems that the media is reporting on.

Before 2008 when President Obama was elected, I was under the apparently mistaken impression that the USA was in a post-racial period.

W O W ! !

Was I wrong.  Nobody is using racial slurs, but when ever President Obama suggests or proposes a program that was initially put forth by a Republican, all of a sudden the Prez is a Socialiat-Muslim.

Now this.  Now we have another racist who is calling for a march on the White House on November 19 to force the President to resign.

The march will not happen and the President will not resign.

Hypocrite

I understand that some folks are against “social welfare” programs, that is programs that help those in need and are funded by general revenues.

And I suppose most of those folks think of SNAP or Medicaid when they think of welfare.

And how many of those folks have subscriptions to a private fire company ? ?  They don’t ?  Wow ! !  You mean you rely on the local fire house that is funded by the taxpayer when your house/garage/field is on fire.

There is a word for that – hypocrite.

Style – Words

The email I received from a old high school mate began

The best of The Washington Post’s Mensa Invitational

But when I did a search at Google the WaPo was vigorously denying any connection to Mensa.

So, here are the two best definitions of new words that came by taking any word from the dictionary, altering it by
adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supplying  a new definition.

Bozone ( n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

Sarchasm : The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn’t get it.

To me, these two new words describe the rabid right.

Clowns (Apologies To Real Clowns)

There’s lots more here

That would be Paul Ryan, Rick Perry and Michelle Bachman.

The Speaker

July 14, 2011

I am a resident of The Speaker’s district, the Ohio 8th CD, which obligates me to point out his flaws (many) and his ineptitude (frequently).

Here is the latest quip, courtesy The BooMan Tribune: (my bolds)

You have to picture this. You have McConnell and Kyl and Reid and Durbin and Pelosi and Hoyer and Boehner, and you have the president, the vice-president, and a bunch of wonky aides. They’re all sitting around trying to hash out a deal. And every half-hour or so Cantor interrupts the president to ask him to stop working on all this stuff and just cave in and give him everything he wants. The president gets more and more annoyed until he finally decides he’s had enough of Cantor’s crap. I don’t know what the hell Boehner is doing while all this is happening. He’s like a lamp post, but less useful.

Where The RepubliKKKans Learned It

From driftglass:

[Hitler’s] primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.
