Judgement: Questionable
This piece in the Huffington Post says a lot. I have always felt that Bush is not very bright, but why insult stumps? What have they done to hurt us? Stumps haven’t started a war. Stumps haven’t made a speech in front of a “Mission Accomplished” banner.
But my quibbling with McCain’s judgment isn’t with what he said, it is to whom he said it. A stranger.
The “stranger” just happened to be accompanying his wife who was interviewing the McCains for a piece for a TV show. And that McCain would exercise such poor judgement and say something this sensitive to a perfect stranger, who would he be spouting off about if he were President?
Apparently he is incapable of showing much discretion.
