AP Has Turned Into Fox News
I won’t link to Associated Press articles until they reverse their “bloggers must pay to quote” policy, but I guess someone has to do the dirty work, and in this instance it’s Josh Marshall. Here, via Talking Points Memo, is the lede of an AP article written by Nedra Pickler about John McCain’s so-called deficit elimination plan:
Barack Obama says John McCain’s plan to balance the budget doesn’t add up. Easy for him to say: It’s not a goal he’s even trying to reach.
That’s the first paragraph. The next three paragraphs will make your jaw drop even further. Josh can’t quote them because AP will sue him if he does. So click on the link in his post and read.
